As the weather becomes chillier and gloves become a necessity, the Long Island Turkish Cultural Center had its second cooking class on December 4, 2014.

Our chef, Minevre, had the reputation of being the best cook in her community and they wouldn’t wrong. Right before our eyes she made delicious tomato soup. She cooked us a chicken and vegetable dish and it warmed us up that cold December night.

As if the night couldn’t be better she made a sweet Turkish dessert called kunefe. Each bite was immediately followed by another. It was as if our chef added some mysterious spice that made us addicted to her cooking.

We hope that you will join us in our next class and discover the hidden taste of our chef.
