About the Event
The book: “Land of the Turks; Journeying through a Land of History and Hospitality” by author/photographer, Dennis Jones – an absolutely beautiful book, published by Dome Press in October of this year, depicting modern day Turkey in stunning photographs and warm, honest narrative which perfectly captures the rich culture and the unwavering hospitality of Turkey and the Turkish people.
Dennis is a very accomplished photographer, with many of his images shown in national and international exhibitions, and his travel articles and essays are published in regional, national and international publications. He also lectures on various aspects of photography for many professional photographic organizations.
The conversation will be led by Professor Alex Morel from the Art & Design Department of St. John’s University, and whose passion is also photography. Alex has undertaken similar projects in his career, so it proved to be an enlightening and entertaining event for all who attended to hear the two enthusiasts comparing notes and discussing the contents of the book in detail.
After the conversation, there will be a Q&A session after which Dennis will sign his books for attendees before taking a break to enjoy some of the delicious refreshments which will be offered.
