Scarsdale_Interfaith_FrackingTCC Westchester Woman’s club attended the Scarsdale-Hartsdale Women’s Interfaith event protesting fracking in NY. Fracking is the extraction of natural gas from shale rock through invasive drilling.

This action has gigantic environmental effects on the surrounding environment especially to the water we drink. Not only that, but during the drilling they use millions of gallons of chemicals, explosives, and radioactive material to extract this gas, which will poison the drinking water, and there is nowhere that can treat this poisonous water once the damage is done.

The Turkish Cultural Center joined in this effort to save our water, which is our most precious resource, and without it there would be no life.
