TCC Brooklyn Friendship Dinner

The Turkish Cultural Center of Brooklyn held its 8th Annual Friendship Dinner & Award Ceremony on April 26, honoring Brooklyn elected officials, community leaders and members of NYPD. This years theme “combating hate crime” highlighted the importance of Unity and Community Service locally and abroad . Hundreds of community members gathered at Baku Palace to honor community leaders whilst enjoying good food and company. Awardees were recognized for their contributions to Community Service, Peace, Leadership, and Interfaith Dialogue.

Local Assembly member Steven Cymbrowitz, also present, touched upon the recent political developments in the U.S. and Turkey, emphasizing the importance of shared values. He also mentioned the endless efforts of the Turkish Cultural Center of Brooklyn in indiscriminately helping members of their community.
Keynote Speaker, Reverend Joseph Johns, addressed the current struggles and challenges of New Yorkers. You can seen further highlights of the 8th Annual Friendship Dinner and Award Ceremony mentioned here in BKLYNER and Kings County Politics.
