Ramadan Iftar Dinner with Monroe County Police and Fire Departments -August 3, 2012
Peace Islands Institute and Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester held an Iftar dinner with the officers from Monroe County Police Dept. And Fire Departments on August 3, 2012 at the Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester.
Turkish Cultural Center and Peace Islands Institute hosted an iftar dinner at the Tcc of Rochester on Tuesday, August 7,2012. The members of the United Church of Christ as well as the Congregation Beth Hamedresh – Beth Israel and the First Universalist Church of Rochester were our guests for the night. 
Turkish Cultural Center and Peace Islands Institute hosted almost 20 iftar dinners with the Turkish American, Bosnian, Turkish-Ahiskan American, Albanian American comminitias through out the Month of Ramadan at the Cultural Center.
We had around 100 of our community members has visited our center on the first day of the feast of Ramadan. We had a delicious breakfast together.
We had a chance to meet with the members of Madina muslim community at the iftar. After breaking our fastes we had a very good time to srenghten the ties between two community. We have discussed about the issues of our communities, and decided to come together more often to better get to know each others.
