WRVO General Manager Michael Ameigh recently accepted a friendship gift from the Turkish Cutural Center in Syracuse on behalf of WRVO Public Media.
The gift was presented at the Center’s annual Friendship Dinner held October 6th at the Syracuse Sheraton Hotel on the Syracuse University Campus. The annual event was created to build awareness of Turkish culture and to encourage peace, tolerance and friendship in the community. The Turkish Cultural Center holds a variety of events at its facility on Tracy Street in Syracuse that give area residents the opportunity to learn about Turkey’s contributions to American culture. These include cooking classes and information sessions. A delegation from the Center visited WRVO Public Media on the SUNY Oswego campus in November to tour studios and greet WRVO staff.
