TCC_Syracuse1"In our last cooking class of the semester we made one of the most popular desserts of the Ottoman Cuisine, BAKLAVA, also a very well known Turkish dessert all over the world. Baklava is a very hard to make but tasteful dessert. Our second recipe was a dip called CEMEN (cumin paste). Cemen is a very common sauce for breakfasts in Turkey but also can be a perfect snack when served on a piece of bread or cracker any time of the day.

cookingclub8Everyone at the last cooking club night enjoyed a Turkish salad and Turkish stew. The salad included fresh greens, and the Turkish stew included ground beef, carrots, and potatoes. Once again, people were chopping, cutting and peeling in order to enjoy the meals!!
