IMG_49311On Saturday, May 5,2012 Turkish Olympiad award ceremony was held in New York. First Turkish Olympiads in New York had started in year 2007. This year's ceremony had hundreds of new attendees who were very anxious to see the event. But unfortunately many could not get in due to high interest for the program.The event brought people together from all walks of life, including students who were competing and their families, academicians, elected officials and etc.

DSC_04961On February 17, 2012 another Turkish Coffee Night was held at The Turkish Cultural Center of Rochester. More than seventy people attended the Mediterranean region of Turkey themed event. Turkish community meets with their dearest friends in the lovely atmosphere of TCC.

IMG_08661Turkish Cultural Center of Long Island branches held Diversity and Cross Cultural event at Longwood Jr. High School on Friday 17, 2012. Three volunteer from Turkish Cultural Center performed Power Point Presentation to students and faculties. The goal of this presentation was to inform the students about Turkey and Turkish Culture. Vice President of the Turkish Cultural Center Davut Yilmaz stated that this kind of Diversity and Cross Cultural events are very important because there is only way to understand each other is through communication.

Nassau County Executive and the Turkish Cultural Center of Long Island (TCCLI) have celebrated the "Turkish RepublicDay” event on Friday, November 4, 2011 in Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building.
