Besides seeing the beautiful sights of Istanbul, Izmir, Kapadokya, Konya, Bursa and Kayseri the Hagedorn Foundation members had the chance of interacting one on one with Turkish families during family dinners in Izmir, Kayseri and Istanbul. Visits to the Writer’s and Journalists Foundation, Kimse Yok Mu Relief Foundation, Mevlana University and Samanyolu High Schools throughout the trip. These organizations allowed the hagedorn foundation members to get a better idea about the education system and the current issues of Turkey. They also had the opportunity to learn the cultures of a Turkish family and their lifestyle.
