April 12 2012 - The TCCLI has organized another Cross Cultural Night where we had the privilege to host the Salvadoran Community at our Medford location. We had the honor to host Vice Consul Miguel Alas from the Salvador Embassy located in Brentwood, NY.  The Consul General Dagoberto Torres who was planning to attend, but had a last minute change in his schedule has sent his greetings to the night.

On May 7, 2011, Long Island celebrated its diversity, as the Turkish Cultural Center celebrated International Children’s Day with a program of music and dance performances from over ten countries.  A bit hard to find, Hofstra University’s Adams Playhouse filled almost to capacity with an audience, as diverse as the performances which echoed world cultures including: USA, Turkey, Ireland, Germany, Bosnia, Mexico, Albania, India, China, Azerbaijan, and  Korea.

The Turkish Cultural Center of Long Island organized Iftar Dinner at the Uniterian Church that brought in a lot of guests. Month of Ramadan is a holy month for the Muslim people where TCC members of Long Island had given an Iftar Dinner for church members.
