Thursday, October 27th was the first annual Taste of Sheepshead Bay, an event involving more than twenty five local restaurants, live music... The food selection ranged from miso black cod to lobster bisque to lamb shank to peking duck to waffles and ice cream. Sponsored by Sheepshead Bites and Italian restaurant Il Forneto, the event drew close to 350 people to the Baron - a waterfront hall run by the Knights of Columbus.

Sheepshead Bay proves to be a hidden gem on the fine foods map of Brooklyn. Turkish Cultural Center Brooklyn also took part in this big event, where Turkish coffee and baklava were given to add a little more diversity and taste for the attendees.Almost 350 people had a chance to taste different cultures and tastes.

Turkish Cultural Center Brooklyn also took part in this big event, where Turkish coffee and baklava were given to add a little more diversity and taste for the attendees.Almost 350 people had a chance to taste different cultures and tastes.
Many people attended the event from different cultures and from different race. Borough President Marty Markowitz, Councilman Lew Fidler, Councilman Michael Nelson, and representatives of Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz were also part of the attendees. After eating a great variety of food available at this event, they just loved the taste of a Turkish dessert, baklava, and strong ethnic Turkish coffee just made their night.
