TCC Brooklyn invited 61st and 62nd Precincts to Iftar dinner on August 23, 2011. Program started with the Executive Director, Suleyman Aydogan, welcoming all the guests and explaining the meaning of Ramadan. He mentioned the importance of having Iftar dinners with your family and your neighbors, and signified the importance of giving and sharing with people around the world.

Abstract:
TCC Brooklyn invited 61st and 62nd Precincts to Iftar dinner on August 23, 2011. Program started with the Executive Director, Suleyman Aydogan, welcoming all the guests and explaining the meaning of Ramadan. He mentioned the importance of having Iftar dinners with your family and your neighbors, and signified the importance of giving and sharing with people around the world.
Mr. Aydogan showed two short presentations about Ramadan and the call to prayer that allowed those who were fasting to break their fast and begin eating.
After dinner, the police officers were taken to the traditional Turkish room where they were served Turkish coffee and tea. The night came to an end after Mr. Aydogan presented the precinct representatives with a handmade Turkish tile
